For KOMETA, giving is part of everyday life.

For us, Kaposvár is not just a site, it’s also home. Our Managing Director, Giacomo Pedranzini, has been living here with his family for decades. So it is only natural that we support local communities and institutions year after year, and even month after month, with donations of products and money. In addition to regular donations, we also contribute to various programmes, for example, we have helped schoolchildren from Kaposvár to visit the observatory.

In addition to local initiatives, we also support a number of national programmes, and we sponsor national running races, tours, bike rallies, and even junior cyclists can count on us, for example by paying entry fees.

We are passionate about supporting sport, but it’s especially important for us as a food industry to help where we are needed most.

  • Since 2017, we support the Food Bank on a monthly basis
  • participate in the World Food Day Food Convoy
  • we have been working with the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service for many years
  • the students of the Bárczi Gusztáv Kindergarten, Primary School, Special Special Vocational School in Kaposvár can count on our monthly donations throughout the year
  • a salami sandwich distribution on 1 September has become a tradition in the city’s primary schools

In 2024, more than 30 000 kg of food will be donated to various organisations, with nearly 30 million HUF donated to the Food Bank alone. Once again we have earned the title of Platinum Sponsor of the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
