ABOUT THE PRIVACY PRACTICES OF KOMETA 99 ZRT. IN RELATION TO SENDING NEWSLETTERS AND PRIZE DRAWS

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. Kometa 99. Zrt (hereinafter referred to as the “Data Controller”) strives to ensure the protection of personal data to the fullest extent possible.

The Data Controller shall carry out its activities in compliance with the protection of the privacy rights of its customers and the provisions of the relevant legislation, in particular the Civil Code and Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (hereinafter: the “Information Act”).

1.2. The Data Controller shall take all reasonable computer and organisational measures to ensure the security of the processing of personal data and to prevent personal data from being disclosed to unauthorised third parties.

1.3. Please note that the provision of personal data when sending the Newsletter is voluntary and that the User has consented to the processing of the data by providing it.

The Data Controller carries out data processing notified to the Data Protection Authority in connection with the registration during the sending of the newsletter. NAIH registration numbers of the Data Controller are NAIH-79657/2014 and NAIH-93873/2016

2. THE NATURE OF THE DATA PROCESSING USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SENDING OF THE NEWSLETTER AND THE PRIZE DRAW

2.1. Purpose of data processing: the purpose of data processing is to inform the persons concerned by the processing of their data (Users) and to enable their participation in a promotional sweepstake.

2.2. Legal basis for processing: consent of the data subject. By voluntarily filling in the personal data, Users consent to the recording and processing of their data by the Data Controller for the purposes of sending the Newsletter and participating in prize draws. The Data Controller will use the personal data in its possession only for the purposes known to the customer at the time of providing them.

2.3. The scope of the data recorded during processing: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number of the user

2.4. Persons entitled to process the data: Kometa 99 Zrt. and its employees in the marketing department.

2.5. Method of data recording and duration of data processing: the data of the Users registered online or recorded during registration are recorded on paper and/or by means of data storage on an internal computer memory. The data thus recorded will be destroyed by the Data Controller after 5 years from the date of recording or, if later, after the last participation in a prize draw or the sending of a newsletter, or immediately upon the User’s request.

2.6. The data may be transferred to the following persons/entities in the following cases: the Data Controller will not transfer the data to unauthorised persons.

If a user engages in unlawful conduct in the course of communication in connection with the newsletter, the Data Controller may initiate the necessary legal proceedings to identify the customer and transmit the data to the authority conducting the proceedings, exclusively in the related proceedings.

2.7. The User may request the Data Controller to cease processing his/her data and to unsubscribe from the newsletter in the following ways: by sending an e-mail.

2.8. Users’ data protection rights and how to exercise them. 14-21. §. The User has the right to information under the law and may request the rectification, erasure or blocking of his/her data.
