Salt reduction
People who follow a varied and conscious lifestyle will know that salt intake is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and that it is worth paying particular attention to salt intake when putting together a diet.
Surveys show that the salt intake of the Hungarian population is significantly higher than the recommended 5 grams per day: women consume on average 11.2 grams of salt per day, while men consume 15.9 grams. In addition, much of this salt is not added directly from the salt shaker to our food, but is consumed in the form of various processed foods. KOMETA, as a responsible food manufacturer, is committed to promoting modern nutrition – in this spirit, the salt content of its Blue Label products has been reduced by 25 percent while maintaining their taste sensation, making them an excellent choice for a balanced and varied diet.
