Moving for health – there is no other way

At KOMETA, we believe that a healthy lifestyle rests on two pillars: conscious nutrition and regular exercise. When these are in place, physical and mental health inevitably improves.

That’s why we contribute to the health of our consumers and employees not only through our products, but also through our active approach and support for sport.

Support for amateur sport

Our aim is to help as many people as possible experience the joy of active living. That’s why we have been supporting amateur running, cycling and hiking events for years.

  • we were part of the Bring Your Bike to Work! campaign
  • we have been present in the life of the Kaposvár Carnival Half Marathon since its inception, and in 2016 we became the title sponsor (KOMETA Kaposvár Carnival Half Marathon) – our colleagues also regularly run in the event, even in costume.
  • you can meet KOMETA tents and runners at the UltraBalaton, Ultra Tisza Lake and Generali Night Run, among others
  • We are also regular sponsors of the Gerecse 50, the Balaton Circle and other mass sports events.

Building the future: youth education

Cycling and basketball are our passion, especially through supporting children and young athletes:

  • we participated in the Superior MTB Team and Eliminator Cup events
  • our partner is the Hungarian Cycling Federation: in 2020 we supported ZWIFT races and home training
  • In 2021, we have taken over the registration fees of 1500 young people for the U17-U19 KOMETA-Bringasport training camps
  • in the same year we became the title sponsors of the Cyclo-Cross Challenge
  • the professional cycling team we sponsor, Team Polti VisitMalta, is also involved in youth training, where a number of young local cyclists have also developed their skills
  • the local basketball team KOMETA-KVGY Kaposvár Basketball Club, which is also sponsored by us, also places great emphasis on the education of young players
  • In addition to the professional cycling team, we also support the Tour de Hongrie, the national cycling circuit, and the Giro d’Italia, the biggest Italian circuit.

Unique employee incentive – get moving!

The health of our colleagues is also important to us. As well as providing them with a hot meal every day, since 2021 we have been paying extra for those who cycle, walk, run or scooter to work, or go to the gym or swimming pool. In addition to their wages, they receive a gross daily allowance of HUF 400. This incentive applies to employees at both the Kaposvár site and the Budapest office.
